Manifesto

Inditex headquarters building

Inditex is the fashion company behind Zara, Pull&Bear, Massimo Dutti, Bershka, Stradivarius, Oysho, Zara Home and Lefties. All united under a single vision: offering our customers an inspiring, high-quality fashion experience.

To achieve this, we rely firmly on technology: teams that design, build and maintain the software behind the fashion that reaches millions of people every day.

Our teams and solutions are open source users. Code built on values we echo: collaboration and shared knowledge. That is why we want to be active players in this ecosystem: not only using open source software, but also participating in its communities, contributing to the projects we depend on, and sharing solutions of our own that may be useful to others.

These principles set the course that guides Inditex Tech's participation in the community with responsibility.

Our open source principles

[01]

Adopt with judgement

Before developing a new tool, we check whether the community has already created a similar solution that meets the need, and whether its maturity, security, licensing and maintenance fit the intended use.
[02]

Support participation and contribution

We encourage our teams to use and share open source software, to take part in its communities, and to give value back to the projects we depend on. When we improve something, sharing it is the natural path.
[03]

Share with purpose

We publish projects that help tackle real challenges at Inditex and can be useful beyond our teams. We open code when we believe it can bring real value.
[04]

Act with respect

We participate in open source communities with respect, honesty and transparency, in line with our ethical commitments and the Inditex Code of Conduct.
[05]

Promote secure practices

We take care of security, privacy and compliance across all the software we use, contribute to and publish.
